Third pottermore email, where are you? D:

I’m so bad at articulating what I’m thinking but oh well.

Well today is 9/11. Yeah, I’m stating the obvious.. Anyway I just have had some thoughts leading up to this anniversery, some probably won’t agree with them but oh well, they’re just opinions, you’ll live.

9/11 was a terrible event. I KNOW that but I suppose I feel bad that other tragedies, deaths or whatever you want to call them aren’t as widely remembered. So much of what we see through media is from America and America’s point of view. Saying this, ignorant people who just condemn people from Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. or just Muslims for being terrorists really annoy me. No, not everyone from that country is a terrorist. What do you think they see from their perspective? They see western soldiers coming into their country and ripping it apart. Our side has killed too. No, our side has not just killed ‘bad’ people or ‘terrorists’. Innocent people, children, women, so many have been killed. How can you even determine who is a worthy person and who deserves to die? You can’t.

Isn’t what our country’s have been doing acts of terror too? It’s all killing. Different military tactics or whatever but it’s still all death. Osama Bin Laden once said that we are the terrorists. Isn’t this true? I don’t condemn anything the alqaeda has done, they were or are terrible people. But haven’t we deliberately set out to kill? Did the innocent civilians who died at western soldiers hands deserve to die anymore then the people on the planes or twin towers? They were all people, who in their lives would have showed bravery, love and knowledge. Yeah.. I guess war just makes me feel sick. Just going to end this with I don’t condemn or believe in what terrorists have done at all and I’m so lucky for the life I’ve been blessed with, violence free.
